Life master to help you do insulating glass, vacuum glass, laminated glass sound insulation effect comparison

With the continuous rapid development of society, the problem of noise pollution after other pollution is becoming more and more serious, especially the traffic noise living in the city continues to plague the general public, and the sound insulation glass has become a necessity for the public.
Sound insulation glass according to the production process and use of different, can be roughly divided into the following three categories: insulating glass, vacuum glass, laminated glass. Each type of glass has its own characteristics in terms of sound insulation.
Hollow glass is composed of two layers of glass, surrounded by high strength, high air tightness composite adhesive to the glass and sealing strip, glass bonding seal, the middle of the 6-9mm air layer filled with dry gas, the frame filled with desiccant, to ensure the dryness of the air between the glass sheets. Its characteristics, because there is a certain cavity, and has a relatively good insulation effect, so it is widely used in northern cities.
In terms of sound insulation performance, high-frequency noise in insulating glass (such as human voice, school treble horn, etc.) has good sound insulation effect, but it has no obvious effect on traffic low-frequency noise (such as bus engine noise, train noise, aircraft noise, etc.), because the air cavity of insulating glass will resonate with external low-frequency noise in the low-frequency region, and low-frequency noise is easier to enter the room through the glass. Many people think of hollow glass as vacuum glass, but there is a certain difference between the two.
Vacuum glass is generally composed of two layers of 4mm thick flat glass, leaving 1.5mm space thickness between the two layers of glass for vacuum (there are other thicknesses). Because negative pressure is formed between two pieces of glass in the process of vacuumizing, the two pieces of glass will be sucked together, thus losing the vacuum layer. Therefore, a flexible support point or strip support frame with a certain density should be padded between the two layers of glass in the production of vacuum glass. As the vacuum glass between the two layers of glass is pumped into a near vacuum, so it has the characteristics of high thermal resistance, is a good insulation products, which is the original intention of the design of vacuum glass, the insulation performance is also hollow glass is difficult to compare. In terms of sound insulation performance, the traditional vacuum glass is not necessarily better than hollow glass. This is because after the vacuum is drawn, the two pieces of glass are almost pasted together, which constitutes rigidity on the whole. In addition, the support for supporting the two pieces of glass becomes a sound bridge for sound transmission-that is, solid sound transmission, so the sound insulation of the traditional vacuum glass is limited.
Laminated glass is a production process of safety glass. It is also called laminated glass abroad. It can be two layers pressed together or multiple layers pressed together. Some laminated glass will bubble after a long time in the sun, this is because the wet clip method is used, so the laminated glass used in architectural glass is generally used in dry clip method, so that the interlayer foaming can be avoided. Laminated glass also has a certain sound insulation effect.
